😡 ‘Indignant’ Salford Metropolis Followers Storm Pitch in Protest In opposition to co-owner Gary Neville
Tensions boiled over throughout Salford Metropolis’s fiery native derby in opposition to Oldham Athletic, as a group of residence followers stormed the pitch to vent their anger at membership co-owner Gary Neville.
🎯 The Reds took all three factors in a good 1–0 victory, with Daniel Udoh scoring the decisive purpose — however the match was overshadowed by scenes of unrest within the stands and on the pitch.

Halfway via the second half, various Salford supporters broke via the obstacles and entered the pitch, holding banners and chanting in opposition to Neville.
Safety workers and police shortly intervened to revive order.

🔥 Why the Anger?
The protest follows Neville’s current controversial remarks about “middle-aged white males” — feedback that many supporters felt have been unfair and divisive.
Some followers have since branded the previous Manchester United defender a “traitor”, accusing him of being out of contact with the very supporters who helped construct the membership’s id.

Exterior the stadium, followers might be heard chanting “Neville out!” whereas others took to social media to demand he step again from his public and political commentary.

Three males have been arrested to date after the incident, confirmed by the Police.
